Violeta Borisonik was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. In 1987 she received a degree in Architecture from the University of Buenos Aires. From 1977 to 1979 she studied Visual Arts at the National School of Fine Arts.
After achieving a degree in Visual Arts from the Ottawa School of Art, Violeta kept working in her studio as a mixed media artist exploring the urban landscape of big cities. In recent years her work has evolved into a more geometric abstract style showing a strong influence of her background as an Architect.
“My painting is the vehicle that allows me to connect, to reach and to transform the viewer provoking a cascade of unique experiences. For me, it's all about playing and experimenting but most of all, having fun.”
