“Living in a compelling world of contrast, texture and colour, I keep driven by always challenging myself. I attempt to create a multi-dimensional world through a two dimensional stage. As a result, I produce depth and emotion in each piece.”
Art has been a life-long passion for Leah. As a little girl, she took every art class that she could. In High School, she was introduced to painting and clay sculpture, then studied Graphic Design at Algonquin College and learned Life Drawing at St. Lawrence College.
Following a catastrophic car accident in 2005, she had to re-learn many principles that she once knew. Her efforts and perseverance were rewarded when she was asked to display in the Biennale Internazionale Dell’Arte Contemporanea, Florence, Italy in 2011.
In 2012, she received Honorable Mention in the Marianne van Silfhout Art Gallery for her painting entitled Shield. Her work was also featured in Splurge magazine, in Sept 2014. The Canadian Federal Government purchased thirteen of her paintings.
